About
Lindsay Dills is a composer, multimedia sound artist, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for collaborating on and crafting music and sonic atmospheres for Film, Television, and Video Games. Drawing from her background as a performer and her experience in foley and sound design, Dills is known for curating unique sounds and adapting her music to fit a wide range of media and styles.
A regular in the recording studio, she has recorded violin, voice, and cello for multiple media and songwriting projects including her own. Recent media highlights have included writing the main titles for the High Seas Stories Podcast, composing for The Lifetime Gallery and Without You, and composing and sound designing for Where the Aspens Weep (Winner of the MLC Jewel Award and Best Experimental Picture Award).
Currently, Lindsay is pursuing her Masters in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring at New York University Steinhardt (2024). She also serves as a composer for video game projects at SpellBound AR, a therapeutic company using video games and augmented reality to further children’s recovery and medical treatment. She is proud to have written music and provided sound design for their latest project PAWS, funded by the National Institute of Health. Dills is currently a 2023-2024 mentee for the competitive Society of Composers and Lyricists' New York Mentorship Program. She is also an active member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers, NWFT, and ASCAP, and is mentored by award-winning composer Catherine Joy and Emmy- Nominated composer Ariel Marx.
